I am currently studying Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The objective of my senior project was to analyze the conditions in which implementations of culturally situated design tools may or may not challenge standard power dynamics in public schools.
My master’s thesis will be a study of interactional expertise within the automotive community, analyzing how people with different levels of technical expertise share and co-produce knowledge about a “closed” technology by reopening black boxes and forming identities around their vehicles.
I will graduate in May 2019 with a B.S. and M.S. in Science and Technology Studies.
